Janey Girl Galore!

I didn't have these pictures ready when I last posted, so here are so MORE!

Vegas Trip!
She was absolutely fascinated by this elephant! It would come alive and start moving and making all sorts of noises. After watching it for a second, she burst into laughter. It was the cutest thing ever!

New Cousins!
This is Cousin Ella and regretfully I don't have a picture of Cousin Olivia.

Having fun in toilet paper wrappers...we have a REALLY eventful life! :)

What?? It's only been 2 1/2 months!

Ok, so I am going to stop pretending that I am a good blogger...I keep making promises to myself that I am going to stay up-to-date and then I am just disappointed when I don't. SO, my new promise to myself and all of my visitors is...I will do it when I am good and ready (tee hee). I promise not to abandon you entirely, but it may be a few months between posts. Don't give up on me! :)

Things that have happened since my last post:

  • I have learned to make bread..sort of (one loaf ended up 9 inches tall????)
  • I have learned to hem pants (my mom said my frayed pants made me look like a slob so there you go!)
  • My talented and crafty friend Crystal taught me how to make burp cloths. Maybe now she can talk me into scrap booking (probably not though).
  • Danny, Jane and I took a trip to Vegas for Danny's rental convention. Jane and I had most of the days to walk around Vegas together. She became famous really fast around those parts. It was like no one had ever seen a baby before. She was a real trooper and we had a great time!
  • We have visited St. George twice. Once for a short get-away, and the second time we went with family to see the blessing of my new niece Olivia. She was beautiful in her blessing dress and it was so fun to spend time with the Jackson's!
  • We celebrated my Grandpa's 81st birthday and my Grandma's 80th birthday. They are such impressive people. They are still so active and involved in everything that goes on. They have both had amazing lives and they aren't stopping yet!
  • My dad had a big-time surgery and gave us a big scare, but he is recovering nicely! Thanks for all of your prayers. There is no question that "He" was listening.
  • Danny and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary (however, it has been 9 years since it all began). I am happy to say that I KNOW WITHOUT A DOUBT that he is the man meant for me! I can't imagine loving anyone more. He balances me in all of the ways that I desperately need. He is the most wonderful dad to Jane, the hardest worker, and always takes the time each day to show me that he loves me. I am truly blessed to have him!
  • Jane turned 6 months old. Everyone told me how fast time would go by, but I had no idea that it would go THIS quickly. I am so blessed to be able to stay home with her and not have to miss a minute. She is my little angel!
Jane has started to:
  • roll from back to tummy, tummy to back
  • eat solids (she love rice cereal with bananas or squash)
  • fall asleep in her crib without throwing a fit (it was a long road to get there)
  • sit up on her own (she tips eventually)
  • scoot around and turn herself in circles (crawling is not far away...AHHHH!)
  • dive, grab, reach and claw in order to get what she wants (ie. Fresca, mom's dinner plate, dad's magazine, water bottles, and anything else that isn't meant for baby.)
  • recognize the different sign language words that we are teaching her (milk, eat, sleep, all done). She whines and cries and flops over in my arms as soon as I sign "milk." Yeah, she is a genius already!
  • handle her binky like a champ. Oh that was a good day!
  • recognize everyone who isn't her mom. She cries when I leave the room and when someone holds her and I am not near by. Oh, it is so nice to feel loved by her!

Jane still loves to be swaddled when she goes down to sleep. She eventually breaks free during the night.

This is our little cookout with the Beck's. We are so lucky to have such good friends.

This was on our anniversary at Olive Garden. It was Janey's first time in a high chair. Her expression says a thousand words!
This is Jane with Grandma Flora and her new little cousin Ella. Welcome to the family Ella! Jane and Ella are 5 months apart and live two houses down from each other. I have a feeling that they are going to be two peas in a pod!

Jane is fascinated by baby Ella. She's not sure if she should be scared of her or not. This picture was taken while Jane was trying to hold her hand. It was a sweet moment.

Happy Easter! This is Jane and the Ferguson cousins at the Alpine Easter Egg Hunt.

Danny and Jane needed a little sunshine in St. George.

This is Jane and Great Grandpa Harley. She was looking at me like "don't leave me with this guy!"

Well, there you go! Hopefully that was a good sum of the past few months. Enjoy the pictures, because you know me, it may be a while before more show up! :)
