Here I Am!

Man, I am not good at keeping up with this blog. Life has been pretty hectic, crazy, and intense lately. I apologize to the few people who keep checking for an update...but to no avail. I am now officially 34 weeks pregnant!!! I can't believe that my little girl is coming so soon. I can't wait to go to sleep at night (although I sleep terribly) because I always get to dream about her. Sometimes they are very strange (last night I had a pouch like a kangaroo and I could peek in on her on occasion) but every time I wake up feeling this immense love for her. Feeling her move is the most incredible thing I have ever experienced. For those of you who have experience pregnancy, I know you know what I am talking about. I wish my Danny could know what it felt like. I feel sad that he has to miss out on that. There are days where I panic and wonder "Am I really ready for this???? Am I going to be able to handle all of the changes that I am going to be facing? Will it be too hard?" Then I remind myself that change is always good, and that the things that are the most challenging in life are also the most rewarding.
At my last doctor's visit (two weeks ago) they detected protein in my urine and said that I needed to do a 24 hour urine collection. For anyone that has had to do that ...I am sorry! I feel your pain. I made a crazy mistake and went to the bathroom as normal in the middle of the night one night. I didn't realize that it would mess up the entire test. I had to start over the next day. So needless to say, my 24 hour urine test, became a 48 hour urine test. When my doctor's office got the results back, they said that my "levels" (whatever that means) are rising and that I am on my way to toxemia. They said that I need to take it as easy as possible and take my blood pressure regularly. What they did not realize was that in a few days I was starting up a new school year (which is by far one of the most challening and draining times of the year). I definetely had a few emotional breakdowns. So, if working 12 hours a day is "taking it easy" then I guess I am doing a good job. I have no other choice! I am also struggling drinking the gallon of water they said that I need to drink every day. That is an insane amount of water!! As a teacher, drinking that amount of water means that I have to leave my students 1,000 times a day to go to the bathroom. I am doing my best, but I am worried that it is not good enough. I have three more weeks of teaching and then I go off-track. The day that I am suppose to come back is my due date so I just need to hang in for three more weeks. I am also just about finished writing my 6-9 weeks worth of sub plans. Way to go Annie!
I have many mixed feelings about giving up teaching. It has been my passion and my life (besides my hubby). It hurts my heart thinking of leaving all of the children that I love so much and who I have meant something to. However, my heart nearly shatters when I think about leaving my OWN child. I know that even though I am giving up a "life" that I have loved, my place is with her. I don't think that quitting will be a decision that I will regret.
I am not the only one that has been busy. My wonderful Danny worked 84 hours last week (that number was not a type-o)! He hasn't worked less than 70 hours since January. I am so proud of him for the way that he has started his business without any help or support. I always knew that he was capable, but I am so impressed! He is the only person that I know that can wake up at 4 am and work until 7 pm without complaining. If anyone knows someone who is looking for a job in the Lehi area, let me know. Danny is going to need a day off eventually (especially when baby girl gets here)!
I apologize for not posting any pictures. We are one of the few people who do not have a home telephone, television (besides movies), the newspaper, or the interent. Call us crazy, but we don't have the time anyway. Since I don't have the internet, I have to do my blog while I am at work and today I do not have my camera cord with me or I would download some pics. Maybe another day. In six weeks or so, I will have A LOT of pictures to share!
Other exciting news....my sister Sara is pregnant again! She is on her fourth! Her due date is sometime in February. If this one is anything like her first three, I will have another little love in my life. I am secretly hoping that she is having a girl! I would love for my baby girl to have a best friend/ cousin so close (in age and in proximity). Sara has been extremely sick. She pucks between 5-9 times a day. There are days that I wonder how she is still alive. Bless her heart. Hopefully she will be over it soon!

Hugs to everyone. I hope all is well with you!
